Envisioning the Future of a B2B E-Commerce Experience

about this project

Future vision redesign of a B2B eCommerce platform to enhance usability and scalability. Originally built as an MVP, the application lacked flexibility for its diverse user base. Through a comprehensive audit and user research, I identified key pain points and developed a future-focused design strategy. The final solution featured an intuitive, customizable dashboard and improved navigation, creating a seamless and user-centric experience while maintaining brand consistency.

Step 1

Audit & Research

My first step was conducting a full application audit using various design heuristics to identify pain points, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. Over the next year, the lead researcher and I gathered both quantitative and qualitative research to validate our recommendations and uncover solutions for major usability issues.

Step 2

Site Map & User Journey

Building on our research and stakeholder discussions, I developed a new sitemap to establish a clear, user-centered framework for the platform. This foundation guided the creation of low-fidelity wireframes for key pages, ensuring a streamlined and intuitive user journey.

Step 3

Low-Fidelity wireframes: Laying the Foundation for a Scalable Experience

The low-fidelity site map served as a strategic foundation, shaping wireframe development and informing key design decisions. It provided stakeholders with a clear, high-level view of the user experience, fostering alignment across teams. By establishing a structured framework early on, this approach streamlined the design process, resulting in a more seamless and efficient user journey.

Step 4

Completing the Vision

Given the diverse user base, I designed a customizable dashboard that allowed users to prioritize the most relevant actions, creating a tailored yet cohesive experience. The result was a modern, intuitive interface that maintained brand consistency while enhancing usability for all users.
